Cheeky Chicken and Chorizo Pie

On Friday 8th August my Cookisto offering is a taste of Spain with a Chicken and Chorizo Pie.

Full flavoured with spicy chicken, peppers and paprika sausage with a homemade pie crust served with a simple Potato, Bean and Olive Salad. Just £8 per portion.

Staying with a taste of summer holidays, I’ve had requests for Moussaka again!! Ever eager to please, this will be on the Cookisto menu for 22nd August at £7.50 per portion with an optional Spinach, Cheese and Potato Pie for £2 per portion.

After a short break, the Cookisto night will be on 19th September, so watch out for future menus - AND details of the Bread Making Classes I’m starting in October.

Moussaka / Cookisto Goes Greek!

Crikes, DiCooks' 4th Cookisto night is nearly upon us - with tasty takeaways ready to pick up on Friday June 20th June.

The last Cookisto offering of Thai Fishcakes, Jasmine Rice and Sweet Chilli Dip went down a storm, resulting in my highest order total to date. Thank you to everyone for your support and generous feedback! 

From the Far East to a little closer to home - for my next Cookisto night, I shall be cooking up a classic eastern mediterranean dish drenched in Greek flavours - the much overlooked Moussaka. Perfect with a simple salad, my Moussaka will be layered with beef and pork, cooked to perfection and will cost only £7.50 per portion.

Throw in a glass of Retsina, cross your fingers for some evening warmth and one could be relaxing on a Greek island...

I shall also be offering an option to buy some of my famed Spanakopita for only £2.00 per slice too, but please don't forget that orders need to be in before 4pm on Wednesday June 18th - you can contact me here.

Serious Temptation...

Rustic cooking or what! 

Here's quick glimpse of this week's Cookisto dish - which is Braised Pork with new potatoes, garnished with soured cream and fresh dill slowly maturing on the hob. 

I'm also putting in a sneaky cabbage and caraway salad with shavings of pickled cucumbers... come on, where else are you going to get such a cracking takeaway in North Herts? Or anywhere else for that matter?

DiCooks' First Cookisto!

The early evening of May 9th 2014 witnessed DiCooks' first Cookisto night, and what a fantastic beginning to my new 'foodie heaven' enterprise it was - all customers were very excited to be part of my fresh culinary service cooked in my home kitchen in Aston, Hertfordshire.

Some customers had heard through the local grapevine, others in local media, that my first dishes for sale were Chicken Tagine + Jewelled Couscous, home baked Maneesh,  Black Olive + Pinenut bread and Labneh. I met some lovely people that I'd never met before and we even managed to share a glass of celebratory wine with them!
